Privacy Policy

Who we are

Jalalabad Thana Trust UK ("the Trust", "we") runs this website for friends and family. Contact: [TRUST EMAIL ADDRESS], [TRUST POSTAL ADDRESS].

What we collect

Your name, mobile number, country, town or city, email (if you give it), your photo and "about me" text (if you add them), your posts, comments and likes, your friend list, the meetings you say you will attend, and your donations (amount, fund, date and, for Gift Aid, your home address and postcode). We never see or keep your card number – Stripe handles card payments.

Why we use it

To run your account, let members find and talk to each other, organise meetings, process donations and send receipts, claim Gift Aid (only if you ask us to), keep the community safe, and meet our legal duties. Our legal bases are: our legitimate interest in running the Trust's community, your consent (for example Gift Aid), and legal obligation (keeping donation records).

Who can see what

Other members can see your name, photo, town, country and posts. Your phone number is hidden. Friends can see it only if you switch that on in Settings. Committee admins can see your phone and email to keep the site safe. We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.

Services we use

Render (website hosting, EU servers), Stripe (card payments), Brevo (sending emails), and Zoom or Google Meet when you join an online meeting. Each has its own privacy policy.

How long we keep it

We keep your account until you delete it. Donation records are kept for 6 years, because UK tax law requires it.

Your rights

You can see and change your details in Settings, download your data, or delete your account at any time. You can also ask us to correct or stop using your data. If you are unhappy, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Cookies

We only use the cookies needed to keep you logged in and to protect forms. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Age

This website is for people aged 18 and over.
